Dear Mayor Thane,
I took a glance at the city’s website and I think it is wonderful. I especially love to look at the old photographs of the city, they are beautiful and rich with history.
I am proud to live here and would hope that local business will be added into this site. I would be very interested in this for my shop.
I am, however, very disappointed that R. Going has a “mock” website which resembles yours on “his blog”, this is completely unacceptable. He is one major reason this city has such a bad rep (blog & radio show). It is disturbing that he finds this kind of humor so amusing, especially while campaining to run for Alderman of my ward. I don’t understand how someone who supposedly cares for this city so much (?) would stoop to this level.
Anyway, keep up the great work. Love the website! Can’t wait to see more photos of the beautiful historic homes throughout the city, charming old stores, the parks and the river, etc.
Worth the wait!

The City needed a professionally designed and run website. It is great to have a central location to access Amsterdam’s information. I don’t blame you for not including a blog. ; )
